About the Department of History

The Department of History was introduced with the establishment of the college in ?????. Since then the UG General Course in History was continued till ????, the very year of the introduction of the UG Honours Course in this subject. Therefore, at present the Honours, UG Programme Courses have been running. Most of the students of the department belong to the nearest villages of Barjora. Two Whole-time and two State Aided College Teachers are trying their best to run the department smoothly. The departmental output is good. Apart from the University Examinations the department arranges a process of continues assessment of the students like class tests at regular interval, Internal Assessment etc. Time to time historical tours or excursions, departmental seminar, village Survey. Many students have cleared national and state competitive examinations such as NET, SLET, Civil Services, Defence Services, etc.
